About contact lenses

A contact lens, or simply contact, is a lens placed on the eye. Contact lenses are considered medical devices and can be worn to correct vision, for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons.

Benefits of contact lenses

Planned replacement

Soft daily wear lenses that are replaced on a planned schedule, most often either every two weeks, monthly or quarterly.

Extended-wear disposable

Soft lenses worn for an extended period of time, from one to six nights, and then discarded.

Colored/ cosmetic lenses

Soft lenses are used to change eye color. Wide range or colors to spice up your appearance. Cosmetic lenses are nice alternative for special occasions or parties.

Astigmatic lenses (toric)

These types of lenses are used to correct astigmatism. Toric contact lenses are made from the same materials as regular ("spherical") contact lenses, so they can be either soft or RGP.

Progressive lenses
